Baby steps towards our big day.

Bridal studio- Checked

Hotel - Checked!

Now that 2 of the biggest to-do is settled, I can finally put my mind to a huge rest. They say hotel is one of the most important things to settle and I raise both hands and both legs, plus Pasta's 4 legs and AGREE! MY top favourite hotel was Shangri La because of the chandeliers that I remembered look so grand and beautiful, food was great too, but the hotel was not available on our wedding date. The guy was also not keen so out it goes.

My next favourite was Mandarin Oriental, after I attended his close friend's wedding dinner there.
I was convinced this is IT. The food was to die for especially the chocolate fondant dessert served indivudually, and the chili crab sauce with deep fried mantou.
BUT....the hotel room was booked by another couple and I can only be on waiting list. Disappointment wasn't really huge because the man and his mummy didn't like this hotel so ok la go with majority votes.

When I thought its still very long to our big day, 2 of my favourite hotels are already not available. Singaporeans are really gan cheong spiders, book hotel way before me can!
So with this, I decided I better hurry and settle the hotel in case all the ok ones not available.

Today, we finally settled the biggest worry. Ok, MY biggest worry.
Bugis is my home ground literally, I grew up here working here in my teens and it held a special meaning to me. I walked past this hotel for God knows how many times and have never once took notice of it. Didn't even know its a 5 star hotel. To me, it looks like some normal cheapo hotel since its situated at Bugis well know for cheap shopping. Little did I know that one day when I grow up, my wedding will be held here. Talk about affinity. Seems like Bugis and I are closely bonded ha!

Bf's brother and his fiancee went Intercontinental hotel when they were hotel searching for their wedding and his mum was raving at how beautiful the ballroom looked. So off we went to check it out, and the macho man fell in love with the ballroom and the chandeliers. *wah lao eh..can you believe it??* Me? I was just so happy with the free flow beer and dessert bar included in the package.

Now you know whose the man in our relationship.

So there it goes, we settled on our hotel.

Special thanks to his brother & fiancee for accompanying us on this journey, helped us ask questions which are important and obviously both of us were clueless about, and spent hours there with us to settle this today. Feeling so loved with the little angels who helped us along the way.=)
